In bid to ensure many people access Covid-19 vaccine, Busia county vaccination team on Sunday visited three churches in Butula Sub County where a total of 122 christians were administered with the jab. The Butula Sub County in-charge of the Expanded Programme on Immunization (EPI) Zipporah Kerubo said through the Covid-19 outreaches they have been able to reach more residents experiencing challenges in accessing vaccination sites.
The County Government of Busia has started plans of establishing more Isolation and Treatment facilities that will help ease pressure on the Busia Agricultural Training Centre (ATC) and Alupe. Health and Sanitation Chief Officer in charge of Medical Services Dr Isaac Omeri said the County Covid-19 Response Committee has identified Kocholiya, Nambale, Sio-Port, Khunyangu and Port Victoria hospitals as additional recovery centres. “Currently we are focusing mostly on Alupe and ATC; we have discussed possibilities
