United Democratic Alliance (UDA) Candidate for Bungoma Senatorial race Mwambu Mabonga has conceded defeat in the December 8th by-election by the Ford Kenya candidate Wafula Wakoli. Wakoli and who had the endorsement of the Speaker of the National Assembly Moses Wetangula as well as the Prime Cabinet Secretary Musalia Mudavadi won the seat after garnering 66,032 votes while Mabonga got 45,907 votes, with the Azimio candidate Wafula Wamunyinyi coming third with 20,519 votes.
