Residents of Sotik in Wednesday thwarted an attempt by police officers who were acting on a court order to evict Sotik businessman Mukesh Patel otherwise known as Akshar from his official residents near Sotik town.In a rare show of solidarity, adamant members of public overwhelmed police officers who were on site armed with a court order to get Akshar out of the residence.
Sotik businessman Mukesh Patel escaped an eviction by a whisker from the police after members of the public came to his rescue.The businessman is a household name among the locals within the town for his good deeds and charity events.Speaking to Chamgei FM, a local said that The police were acting on a court order which instructed them to have him out of his residential home over a property dispute with another person.
