In an international tournament, Kenyan law students came out on top, defeating students from other prestigious institutions throughout the continent. In the All Africa Competition on International Humanitarian Law (IHL) organized by the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in Nairobi, two students from Kenyatta University came out on top.Raphael Gitau and Gladys Nyangweso of Kenyatta University's School of Law were named winners after outperforming students from Uganda's Kampala International University, Rwanda's Kigali Independent University, Ethiopia's Bahirdar University, Nigeria's Obafemi Awolowo University, Ife, and the University of Juba (South Sudan)
The international committee of the Red Cross hosted an all-Africa competition on the international humanitarian law in Nairobi where university students across all reputable institutions in the continent were contained. Emerged top were two law students representing Kenya from Kenyatta University.
