Azimio la Umoja Movement-One Kenya Alliance coalition presidential candidate Raila Odinga, has today shamed his political critics who have been accusing him of not having academic qualifications asking him to show them who were his classmates, and also his students who he taught as a lecturer in University of Nairobi back in 1970s before joining politics.
Embattled Nairobi senator and aspiring governor Hon Johnson Sakaja has received a permanent reprieve following the latest move by the Team University in Uganda where he acquired his undergraduate degree certificate. A case was filed in the High Court of Kenya seeking to block Sakaja's candidature for the Nairobi gubernatorial for the second time after the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission IEBC said Sakaja will be on the ballot.

While appearing in an interview at the Spice Fm on Frididay, July 1, the Nairobi Senator stated that he did not complete his studies at the Institution due to lack of School fees.
Senator Sakaja has been the man of the moment for over several weeks after he was accused of forging his degree certificate from the Team University in Uganda. Senator Sakaja from the initial reports was admitted at the University of Nairobi to undertake acturial science but the senator is said to have not graduated from the institution.

The National Council for Higher Education in Uganda and Team University both failed to provide CUE with proof that he had received a Bachelor of Science in Management degree, the organization stated (External). The senator's inability to provide the required supporting documentation, according to the commission, instantly established the inadequacy of the degree certificate that was submitted.
Sakaja's degrees have been canceled for the second time by the Commission for University Education. The panel detailed the evidence that Sakaja's degree was not recognized in a document issued to the election agency IEBC. The commission established that, by the moment Sakaja graduated, the National Commission for Higher Education in Uganda had not recognized Team University to provide a Bachelor of Science in Management degree.
The absence of evidence from the Senator, the National Council on Higher Education, or Team University that Sakaja attended the university was the deciding factor in the decision to revoke his degree. In Ntarangwi's words, "the degree certificate is insufficient to indicate that Sakaja studied either physically or through distance learning and that he holds an academic degree" because "he failed to submit even the most fundamental evidence of study and the process of receiving a degree."
Johnson Sakaja, a senator from Nairobi had his degree once more cancelled by the Commission for University Education. In a letter to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, CUE stated that the governor candidate had not provided any evidence as of the conclusion of inquiries into the validity of the degree given by Team University in Uganda.
