Phoebe Okowa, a Kenyan law professor, has been inducted into the International Law Commission (ILC), making her the first African woman to do so.After getting 162 votes, Okowa will serve on the commission from 2023 to 2027. The commission consists of 34 professionals who are in charge of formulating and codifying international law.
