The Universities Academic Staff Union (UASU) Egerton charter have suspended the nationwide strike that is set to commence tommorow across all public universities in the country. The UASU national chairman had given the government Seven days to intervene before calling for the strike. So far no effort from the government have been seen.

The UASU lawyer Titus Koceyo has now ruled that the University of Nairobi Vice Chancellor be jailed in a period not less than six months. Titus Koceyo directed that the institution's Vice Chancellor, Associate Acting vice Chancellor in charge of Academic affairs professor Julius Ogeng'o,Acting Chief Operation Officer Brian Ouma and the institution's acting office faculty of Arts professor Ephraim Wahome.
