Sh45 Million to be Spent in Training 100 Community Rangers in Lamu

User The Lamu County Government will this year spend Sh45 million to train community rangers in preparation for the upgrading of Boni-Dodori National Reserve to a national park. Governor Fahim Twaha has revealed that processes are underway to sponsor about 100 local youths, both men and women to the Kenya Wildlife Service (KWS) Law Enforcement Academy at Manyani for the three months training after which they can be absorbed by the wildlife agency to work in Boni-Dodori, especially after the upgrading takes place.
