Law enforcers in Mathira, Nyeri County have now expressed their fears that the man suspected to have stabbed his wife to death is still alive after his phone went silent. “We are still looking for him but since Monday we have not made much progress. My officers are still on the ground but we doubt whether he can commit such a crime and still be found alive,” Mr Ndegwa stated.

The assault case was heard in Karatina, but it was eventually dropped for unknown reasons, and the culprit was released.
