The Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development under the State Department for Crop Development has collaborated with the Ministry of Education under Basic Education to train teachers in preparation for the introduction of the 4-K Club Program in all schools. Agriculture is one of the new learning areas taught in primary schools under the CBC curriculum.

16 year old Tot secondary school student Sylviah Cheptowot was among the 230 people who were crowned as heros and heroines on Today's mashujaa day celebrations.
