A form two girl at Tot Secondary School who survived the recent banditry attack has painfully recounted on the ordeal incident that left one dead and 15 injured, revealing what she shouted that made the bandits flee. Sylvia Losurigow, who os currently recuperating at a hospital in Elgeyo Marakwet, narrated that it was a miracle that their were still alive after the horrifying encounter.

A School Headmistress was shot and killed by bandits in Kerio Valley last evening just two days after 13 other students and two teachers were severely injured in another attack in the same area. The deceased was a Headmistress at Kipyebo Primary School and at the time served as a catechist at the local Catholic Church.

On Thursday night, gunmen assaulted a convoy of school buses in Kerio Valley, killing a driver and injuring 13 kids and two instructors. Some of the injured are in critical condition at the Kapsowar hospital. The incident happened around 10 p.m. near Tot in Elgeyo Marakwet County, on the Arror-Mogil road.

Many people are now living in fear of being attacked by bandits who always kill anyone without even having a problem with them. In the recent incident which the Elgeyo Marakwet senator Hon Kipchumba Murkomen has shared this evening, another teacher was attacked and murdered by the bandits.
