Nine male prisoners charged for various offences have escaped from Bomet Central police station cells in Bomet central sub county,Bomet county. Their escape from lawful police custody was discovered early today in the morning.According to a police report seen by this opera news writer,the Officer Commanding the Station Chief Inspector Kisela was on normal station visit at around 5 am when he visited the cells and found out that the nine prisoners had escaped.
Bomet Central Sub-county police Commander Musa Omari Imamai said the suspects, who were being held for various offences, escaped after cutting metallic grills at the backside of the cell.The escapees are Clinton Nyakundi, Dominic Cheruiyot, Erick Bett, Victor Korir, Emmanuel Mutai, Clement Ng'eno, Titus Rotich, Vincent Kibet, and Victor Kipkirui.
Police in Bomet have launched a Manhunt in search of nine(9) prisoners who escaped from police custody.The prisoners managed to escape after cutting the metal grills at the back of the cells. Confirming the incident,Bomet Central sub-county police commander Musa Omar Imamai said,the 9 escapees were arrested for commiting various offences and were to appear before the court on Monday morning.
