The two wardens who helped scheme the escape from Kamiti prison were not among those charged. One of the 3 terror convicts told the trial magistrate that he was scared of being sent back to Kamiti as the 2 wardens may make them pay for the failed mission. “There are 2 wardens who helped us plan our escape from the Kamiti but have not been charged’” Mushaarf Abdalla Akhulunga said.
The family of Taimur Kariuki Hussein are seeking answers about the lost of Kariuki after the court ordered for his release. Taimur was released by Kahawa Law Courts on June 28 but he has not been found. Anti-Terror Police Unit (ATPU) are said to have arrested Hussein on June 11 2021 near Lamu.
