Why The Suriname Government is Up In Arms Against Korean Officials Over Narcos Saints TV Series
The Surinamese government has shown its displeasure towards Korean producers of the hit TV show Narco Saints. Narco Saints launched on September 9th and instantly became a hit, peaking at number 3 globally on Netflix, the streaming platform. The show is set in Suriname and based on the true story of drug lord Cho Bong-Haeng, a Korean drug lord who ran a large drug trafficking organization in Suriname between the late 1900s and early 2000s.
