Lawyer Hassan Nandwa was kidnapped by police, according to human rights organizations.

Muslim leaders and civil society organizations have criticized the growing incidence of abductions and human rights violations, hours after abducted lawyer Hassan Nandwa was discovered abandoned in Mwingi, Kitui County. They claim that Nandwa, a Muslim scholar and High Court counsel, was taken by a government security agent while performing his professional duties 12 days ago.

Imams order closure of Dugsi, Madrasa in Garissa

Religious leaders in Garissa have ordered the closure of Madrassa and dugsi (basic Quran learning institution) following global corona outbreak.
