Taking to his media timeline, MP Salasya has informed the residents of Eshikufu that they will by the end of today enjoy light again and engineers are working on the faulty transformer that had rendered the area powerless for a while.

According to education blogger Mutai Mutandao,Mr. Muhati, a teacher of agriculture and biology ended his life because of life frustrations.The body of the deacesed was recovered yesterday in the evening at his house located near Ahmadiyya hospital, Shianda and taken to Mumias Mortuary.
Andrew Musungu, an old man from Western Kenya has hogged headlines after he showcased his talent to the public. The 67 year old man, who is popular for his nickname" Wajackoyah Of Shianda" comes from a small village known as Buchimbe village in Mumias East, Kakamega county.

Governor H.E Dr FCPA Wycliffe Oparanya led Azimio politicians in an extensive campaign in his Butere sub county backyard to consolidate votes in the area eight days to the General Elections. Dr Oparanya accompanied by ODM gubernatorial candidate FCPA Fernandes Barasa, his running mate Hon Ayub Savula and Agriculture CAS Mr Lawrence Omuhaka among other leaders campaigned in five wards in the constituency as he urged residents to vote for all Azimio candidates from MCAs to the president.
