A 36-year-old worker has been arrested by police for burning her 4-year-old child with hot water for stealing and eating food while away. Police identified the woman as Mwamba Thomas, 36, who works at Kidinda area, Bariadi district in Simiyu sub-county. Simiyu Sub-County Deputy Police boss Shadrack Masija who confirmed the incident said the incident happened on Wednesday April 22, 2022.

Police in Tanzania have today arrested a woman who burnt her child with hot water after accusing the child of stealing and eating food meant for the family. Mwamba Thomas (36) who hails from Bariadi District was arrested on suspicion of burning his four-year-old son with hot water after she accused him of stealing and eating food while she was away for a walk.
