On 15th August 2022, Kenyans were confused after 4 of the IEBC Officials conducting the General elections came out and disregarded the results that were about to be announced citing them as Opaque. The 4 IEBC officials were led by the elections board Vice chair Juliana Cherera. Following their presser at the Serena Hotel, Raila Odinga’s Azimio team immediately disregarded the elections results and proceeded to the Supreme Court where they pettiotioned against Ruto’s presidential win.

The four headed by their vice Chairperson Juliana Cherera differed with IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati during the announcement of the presidential election results concerning the August 9 polls.
Miguna Miguna has joined the 5th President of the Republic of Kenya Dr. William Samoei Arap Ruto in blasting the former Prime Minister and the Azimio la Umoja One Kenya alliance flagbearer Raila Amollo Odinga after he came out defending the four dissenting commissioners of IEBC. Miguna has claimed that it is wrong for Raila to defend the commissioners after they tried to subvert the will of the people in the just concluded 9th polls.

He said that they must pay the price. On Sunday, Azimio la Umoja One Kenya affiliate parties held a meeting in Bungoma and agreed that they will only field one candidate for the seat who will fly the Azimio flag.

It is not over for Juliana Cherera, Irene Masit, Justus Nyang'aya and Mr Wanderi from Aden Duale's statement. The Garisa Town MP has warned that Cherera and the other three commissioners will have pay for the 'false' statement they had given just before the IEBC chair Mr Wafula Chebukati announced UDA's presidential candidate Dr William Ruto as the president elect.
Since William Ruto was named as the next president-elect on August 15, the two top IEBC commissioners have been at odds. Chairman Wafula Chebukati and deputy chairman Julian Cherera disagreed over whether to announce William William Ruto or Raila Odinga as the presidential election winner. Mrs. Cherera and three other commissioners—Francis Wanderi, Justus Nyang'aya, and Irene Masit left Bomas before the announcement due to disagreement on the results.
On August 15, 2022, four of the IEBC officials in charge of overseeing the General Elections showed up and refused to accept the results that were about to be announced, citing the fact that they were unclear. This confused Kenyans, who were puzzled at the time.
The Farmers Party, a Kenyan Kwanzaa affiliate, has petitioned parliament to remove Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission Vice Chairman Julius Shereera and three other commissioners. When some members of Wafula Chebukati's team, notably by vice chair Juliana Cherera, refused to accept responsibility for the results that made William Ruto president elect, a schism formed in the group.
The four commissioners, who had a different opinion from that of their chairperson over the presidential election results, have today stated that they agree with the results read by Mr. Wafula Chebukati. On a presser today, the commissioners led by Madam Juliana Cherera said they agree with the results in a move to uphold the rule of law and the independence Kenyan election body.
The Independent Electrical and Boundaries Commission's (IEB) deputy chair, Julián Herera, and three other commissioners have been requested to resign by the Farmers Party, a Kenyan-affiliated organization. Wafula Chebukati's team split in half when a faction refused to accept responsibility for the outcomes that led to William Ruto being elected president.
