Laughter as Governor Kihika Gives Nakuru County a New Name During Senators Induction Session
Senators embarked on a five-day induction retreat at Sawela Lodge located in Naivasha, Nakuru County that started the morning of today September 20. The main aim of the retreat is to enable the senators understand the role of the senate in strengthening devolution through legislative agenda. Nakuru Governor Susan Kihika was among the people who attended the retreat and when she was given the opportunity to speak she recognised everyone present and praised Nakuru for being a county of diversity as she gave it a new name that left senators laughing.

At Sawela Lodge, where Senators congregate for their five-day induction retreat, a Judiciary representative gave Koome's speech. The Chief Justice stressed in her speech how precedent-setting rulings in favor of the devolved areas by the judiciary had served as its defense of devolution.
