Sakaja cancelled the licenses issued and ordered his officers not to renew the permits for the aforementioned facilities. "Those already issued are hereby cancelled, and the establishments may continue operating as bars and restaurants only.

Sakaja Bans Clubs In Nairobi Estates

Newly elected Nairobi County governor Mr Johnson Sakaja has come out publicly to say that he has banned all entertainment clubs within the estates of Nairobi Metropolitan City.Sakaja has said that this decision comes after several complaints by members of that county of loud music coming from those clubs. The newly elected Nairobi county governor has also said that he has set the deadline for loud music at 10PM for clubs and other entertainment joints.This decision therefore means that any cases of loud music that will be reported to the authorities beyond 10PM will therefore attract a penalty.

Sakaja Bans Street Families and Hawkers From Conducting Business On Footbridges.

Nairobi County Governor Sakaja bans street families and hawkers from occupying footbridges on the grounds of conducting business. On Sunday 13th Governor Sakaja said banning gives safety room for pedestrians walking along the roads. The Nairobi fire department has promoted pedestrian safety by pressure-washing the ground. The displaced hawkers and street families will be allocated good areas to work from.
