Police officers have arrived at the scene in Rumuriti, Laikipia County, where farmers and livestock herders clashed, and are attempting to calm the situation. In Rumuriti town, all shops have been shut down because they are afraid of being attacked by the rioters. This incident occurred when farmers forbade cattle herders from trespassing on their land because they were not following proper protocol and the animals were eating their crops.
