Tharaka Nithi Senator Professor Kithure Kindiki is among senior leaders in the Kenya Kwanza Alliance who accompanied Deputy President William Ruto to Mombasa on Thursday for a political rally. Ruto had earlier attended the 19th Prayer Breakfast in Nairobi, before jetting back to Mombasa in a series of his Coastal Region campaigns which started a day ago in Taita Taveta County.
It was the 19th national Prayer Breakfast and last one for President Uhuru Muigai Kenyatta during his reign as President since he is to retire after the August 9 general election this year. He attended the event which was held at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi. His Deputy President William Samoei Ruto also attended the occasion together with other leaders.
Deputy President William Ruto has once again downplayed the existence of the so-called ‘deep state’ or ‘system’, questioning its ability to influence election results. While speaking at a Prayer Breakfast event held at his Karen residence on Thursday morning, May 5, the deputy president told his supporters not be afraid of the dreaded organ since it has no capacity to steal elections.
Dp Ruto while addressing congregants at Annual National Prayer Breakfast held at Safari Park Hotel has said that he has forgiven all those who have hurt him during this period while serving as deputy President. He also asked President Kenyatta who was also present to forgive him for falling short of his expectations.
