The Hustler Nation is in celebration after the High Court reinstated Deputy President William Ruto’s friend, Isaac Mwaura, as Jubilee nominated Senator. In a ruling, the court set aside the determination of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal that allowed the removal of Mwaura from the Senate.
On November 25, the court set aside the determination of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal that allowed the removal of Mwaura from the Senate. The court stated that the ruling party did not follow due process and was therefore unlawful. Mwaura was faulted for his association with another party the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) affiliated with Deputy President William Ruto.
In a ruling issued by the High Court on Thursday, November 25, the court set aside the determination of the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal that allowed the removal of Mwaura from the Senate. The court, in its ruling, argued that the Tribunal did not offer the Senator fair hearing and hence the decision to strike him off the list of senators was wrong, unlawful and unjust.
Earlier this year, a number of senators were expelled from the Jubilee Party after being termed as rebels . Hon Isaac Mwaura was among these politicians . His colleagues were saved from the expulsion by the Political Parties Disputes Tribunal (PPDT) but Mwaura was left in the cold.
