Several KDF Soldiers Injured In A Road Accident While Heading For A Special Operation In Kapendo
Several Kenya Defence Force (KDF) soldiers have sustained serious injuries following a road accident at Chesakam, along the Chemolingot-Kapedo Road in Baringo County. According to witnesses, the military lorry veered off the road and rolled several times injuring the soldiers who had boarded the lorry to Kapedo.

Pokot Bandits Kill 8 Police Officers in Turkana
During the incident on Saturday, September 24, the officers were engaged in a high-speed pursuit of Pokot bandits who had previously attacked a community in Turkana East and stolen animals. Unfortunately, the National Police Service (NPS) claimed on their social media that the rustlers ambushed the cops, resulting in the deaths of eight of the officers, as well as a local chief and two civilians.After the event, the National Park Service (NPS) announced that they had sent extra officers to augment the forces already present on the ground to tighten up security in the area and chase the robbers.

Three Women Die As Gold Mine Collapses In West Pokot.
Three women died while two others were injured after a gold mine collapsed on Tuesday in Nyelnyel, West Pokot District. Witness Farah Murilla told the nation that the women who were digging for gold were buried under the rubble in the morning disaster. He said the women, aged between 20 and 32, were buried alive and their bodies were pulled from the rubble by local residents.
