The Jubilee party has suffered yet another major setback in its perceived stronghold after losing in the Juja by-election. This is after it lost to the People's Empowerment Party, a little-known party affiliated to Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria, who was elected on the Jubilee ticket in 2017.

UDA Party Raises Concerns Of State Intimidation As Officials Are Arrested In Rurii, Nyandarua County
United Democratic Alliance Party has raised claims that some of its agents in the ongoing by-election of Rurii Ward in Nyandarua County have been arrested by the police. The party's secretary-general Veronica Maina said that the officials identified as Brian Mbugua and Daniel Githinji were arrested by the police today morning outside Rurii Polytechnic before being transferred to Ol Kalou Police Station.
ODM clinched the Bonchari, Kisii parliamentary seat after the former Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA) Director-General Pavel Oimeke garnered 9,049 votes. Jubilee's Zebedeo Opore was second with 7,279 votes while UDA's Teresa Bitutu came third with 6,964.Bititu is the widow of the late area MP Oroo Oyioka.
