Tanzania Record New Cases of Coronavirus

Number of confirmed positive cases of coronavirus in United Republic of Tanzania have risen after new cases were recorded in its autonomous region of Zanzibar. The ministry of health of Zanzibar through a press release signed by the minister of health Hamad Rashid Mohamed has announced 29 new cases of coronavirus in the country. All the new cases are Tanzanian citizens. 16 of the new cases are residents of Ugunja while 13 come from Pemba. This bring the total number of confirmed cases on the island to 134.

The ministry for health of zanzibar has confirmed 15 more positive cases of coronavirus on the island. This bring the total number of confirmed cases to 98. All of the new cases are of Tanzanian nationals. 10 out the total are residents of Ugunja while 5 are residents of pemba. The first Vice President of Zanzibar is no more. Maalim Seif who was the party chairman of ACT wazalendo is reported to have succumbed after battling with Covid 19 for some months.
