Today is the final send-off of the four people killed by bandits in Marakwet east last week. The four were looking after their cattle a few kilometres from Tot centre in Marakwet East constituency when they were killed by heavily armed bandits. Elgeyo Marakwet county police commander Patrick Lumumba who confirmed the incident said the bandits were suspected to have come from Tiaty area next to Baringo county.

The Saturday mid-afternoon attack at Kapkobil grazing area, 60 heavily armed bandits believed to have originated from the nearby county fled with hundreds of livestock.
