There was drama in Omoro District, Uganda, during the burial of former Ugandan Speaker Jacob Oulanyah that left mourners talking in low tones.
The National Unity Platform (NUP) on Saturday said two of their members had died in a road crash en route Omoro District to talk to their candidate, Simon Toolit Akecha allies in the Omoro County parliamentary mini-polls. The incident which left five other passengers wounded, a BBS TV journalist, Amon Kitamirike, occurred after one of the car tyres developed a puncture, according to the East Kyoga Regional Police mouthpiece Oscar Gregory Ageca.
President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has announced the death of Ugandan speaker of the national assembly. Jacob Oulanya passed away today morning while he was receiving treatments at an hospital in the United States. In his condelence message, president Museveni said that he got the information about Ounyala's death early today morning, however,he had to delay the information to the public to ennable the deseace's family mambers to get the know it first.
