Police in Transzoia are still investigating a case in which a police officer identified as Rionosia Maiywa ended his life by shooting himself on the head just moments before the time he was expected to report for a night patrol. According to Cherangany OCPD Okumu Dulo, the late officer did not display any signs of distress.
Sad News as Police Officer Dies By Suicide In Tanzs Nzoia
Trans Nzoia County police are investigating the suicide death of a 49-year-old colleague on Thursday night. The officer, who has since been identified as Corporal Rionosi,a Maiywa from West Pokot, was assigned to the Cherangany Police Station in Trans Nzoia. Cherangany OCPD Okumu Dulo confirmed the incident, saying the deceased is alleged to have shot himself in the head while in his house but did not leave a note explaining why.
