A chaotic incident was witnessed in Migori after Senator of the county Hon Ochilo Ayacko and Women Rep Pamela Odhiambo clashed over the Orange Democratic Movement party ticket as they eye Governor seat. This led to an ugly scene as things turned chaotic. The Women Rep made claims that Senator Ochilo had received a direct ODM ticket as she asked the supporters not to accept the direct nomination.

The Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party has finally made an announcement regarding its planned party nominations scheduled for the 18th and 19th April in the counties of Migori and Kisumu respectively. In a letter signed by the party's National Elections Board chairperson Catherine Muma, the party has indicated that it will only carry out the nominations for the candidates running for the women representative positions, members of parliament and the members of county Assemblies (MCAs).

Ruto agrees to visit Migori for a working tour on March after meeting the county leaders in Kisumu
President William Ruto has today in the evening met a section of elected leaders from Migori county for a consultative meeting at Kisumu State Lodge in Kisumu county.
