The Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission four Commissioners have been under fire from the Kenya Kwanza Administration to vacate office following the scuffle during the Presidential Polls in August. Nyanga'aya and three other commissioners are accused of attempting to subvert the will of the people with regard to the August 9 presidential electionsThe two others are Commissioners Irene Masit and Francis Wanderi.The four disowned results that were announced by IEBC Chair Wafula Chebukati.
IEBC: Only 200 KIEMS kits have reportedly failed.
Several polling locations reported KIEMS Kit malfunctions to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). IEBC commissioner Justus Nyang'aya denied widespread KIEMS kit failures on Tuesday, saying isolated occurrences were attributable to routine technological breakdown. By 1 p.m. Tuesday, the IEBC reported only 200 malfunctioning kits.
