The Kenya Meteorological Department (KMD) predicts countrywide change in the condition of the atmosphere as the March-April-May rainfall season nears its end. According to the Department's five days weather forecast, most parts of the country is expected to be generally dry starting 18th to 22nd May 2022.

Going by today's weather report given by KMD, several parts of the country expects to receive heavy rainfall whose intensities and spatial coverage shall reduce towards the end of April over the Highlands West and East of the Rift Valley including Nairobi county, Coast, South-Eastern lowlands of Kenya, Northwestern Kenya as well as over the regions of Northeastern Kenya which includes Mandera, Garissa, Wajir and Isiolo.
In this second week of April which is the mid month of the rainy season, rainfall is expected to dominate the condition of the atmosphere in most parts of the country and this time, the forecast shows rainfall near average even in the areas of the Northern parts of Kenya which have long been in dryness.
