Raila Odinga, leader of the Orange Democratic Movement, now claims to have visited the country and received a universal message from Kenyans expressing their desire for his leadership. "I have visited Mount Kenya, the Coast, the Eastern, Western, North Eastern, and even the Rift Valley.
The Treasury Cabinet Secretary Ukur Yattani has stated that he will be on the fore front of ensuring that the residents of North Eastern Region are represented at the negotiating table ahead of next year's general elections. Yattani who is among the leaders who spearheaded the formation of the Upya Movement argued that the residents from the ASAL areas have been marginalized for a long time since they did not have their own political party.

Two officers were on Saturday, December 4th killed and 10 0thers were injured in an ambush that was carried on by suspected Al Shabaab militants at Bamboo in Mandera county.
