Just In: Parliamentary Committee Rubber Stamps Appointment of Koome as Inspector General
Barely 24 hours after appearing before the Parliamentary vetting committee, inspector general of police nominee Japhet Koome has been given a go ahead to take over the the senior-most role in the Police service following the retirement of Hillary Mutyambai. Though he had some few months in office, Mutyambai went home on terminal leave pending retirement citing health issues.
