A week after six police officers linked to murder of Kianjokoma brothers were arraigned and detained for 14 days to give room for proper investigations, two more officers who are believed to have had a hand in the brutal killings have been put behind bars bringing the total number of implicated officers to eight.
The murder of the two Embu brother's sparked a lot of outcry to the nation as everyone continues insisting justice to the duo. According to the IPOA's report, the two were murdered under cold blood by 6 police cop's whose names are; Corporal Consolanta Njeri, Corporal Benson Mbuthia, Constable Lilian Cherono, Constable James Mwaniki, Constable Martin Wanyama and Constable Nicholus Sang.
Benson Njiru Ndwiga,22, and Emmanuel Mutura,19, were killed while in police custody on 1st August,2021 at Kianjokoma,Embu county.They had been accused of allegedly disobeying curfew hours.An autopsy performed at Embu Level 5 hospital showed that the brothers died after jumping out of the police car which was shown by broken ribs and head injuries caused by a blunt object.
