A somber mood engulfed Ratta village in Seme Sub-County of Kisumu after a 54-year-old woman was hacked to death by her son. In the Monday evening incident, the assailant identified as Michael Odhiambo attacked the deceased with a panga leaving her with deep cuts on the head. A form four student in Bomet county has been stabbed to death following row at a nightclub over a woman.Police said that the incident happened at Singori which involved a 24 year old student and a man at the club.Chepalungu police commander Nelson Maasai and his colleagues are still investigating about the death of the student.The man who stabbed the student disappeared in the thick forest and now police are looking for him.Singori Chief commander said that the two men started arguing after the man unsuccessfully attempted to woe the woman they were fighting for.

A Nakuru court has allowed investigators to detain a man who allegedly posed as a magistrate for 14 days to allow them to complete the investigation. Police Inspector Elias Baya, who is the lead investigator in the case, had informed the court that there were seven other plaintiffs, who have filed complaints against the suspect.
