The National State Funeral Steering Committee of the late President Stanley Mwai Kibaki led by the cabinet Secretary for Interior combination Dr Fred Matiangi yesterday said that President Kibaki will be escorted in a Gun Carriage vehicle to the Parliament buildings, where he shall be given a military musical honor and a 19-gun salute.

In honor of former President Mwai Kibaki, the government has declared Friday, April 29 a national holiday. The National State Funeral Steering Committee, which is in charge of planning the former Head of State's funeral, has decided that it will take place on this day at Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi, according to Interior CS Fred Matiang'i.
The Former kenyan President, the late Mr. Mwai Kibaki's body will be ferried to the Kenyan Parliament Buildings for public viewing on Monday, whereby it will be given full State honours. President Kibaki will be transported in a Gun Carriage to the Kenyan Parliament buildings, where he will be given a military musical honour, and a 19-gun salute, according to the kenyan National State Funeral Steering Committee.
The burial preparations for the late former President Emilio Mwai Kibaki is still on, but before he is laid to rest, his body will be taken to the Parliament buildings where Kenyans will be able to view him for the last time. The National State Funeral Steering Committee have already organised on how the body of Emilio Mwai Kibaki will be moved from the Lee Funeral Home to the Parliament grounds escorted by his family and given Presidential honors.
