TSC Announces Category of Teachers It Will Prioritize in January's Recruitment
A day after the government announced plans to recruit about 30,000 teachers in January 2023, Teachers Service Commission (TSC) has revealed the areas they will prioritize during the recruitment. Speaking on Friday, TSC CEO Nancy Machariah said the commission is going to prioritize the recruitment of junior secondary school teachers and have plans to train more teachers to teach grades 7,8, and 9.
14,613 Teachers to be Transfered Back to their Home Counties as Government Ends Delocalization
Following the TSC delocalization program was discontinuation, the Teachers Service Commission led by Dr Nancy Machariah has allowed the relocation of 14,613 teachers back to their counties of birth. It is only120 teachers whose requests for transfers are pending owing to the fact that TSC had not yet found their replacements.
