The recruitment of the 35,550 teachers is the first phase of absorbing 116,000 teachers after the commission stated it is short of 114,581 teachers.According to TSC,10,000 of the teachers will be employed on permanent and pensionable basis with 9,000 being allocated to secondary schools and the rest to primary schools.The remaining 25,550 teachers will be employed as interns,21,550 will be allocated to junior secondary schools while the remaining 4,000 will be allocated to primary schools.

The government now is determined to enhance school feeding programs to ensure all students are in school. This is a relieve to parents as they had been planning on how they are going to start this first term in this year. Parents had been experiencing difficulties as COVID-19 had disrupted everything and also as famine had risen up and were left worrying about feeding programs for their children in schools.
