"The commission, in compliance with the conservatory orders, shall not conduct the by-election for Kiagu ward scheduled for October 14 until determination of the said case," IEBC chairperson Wafula Chebukati stated when the by elections were halted. Chama Cha Kazi candidate, Milton Mwenda was disqualified from vying for the by elections that were to take place in Kiagu Ward, but Moses Kuria challenged this decision in High Court.
