Corruption is a major problem in the country. Kenyans are losing alot of money every day. Early this year, president Uhuru Kenyatta admit that Kenya loses atleast 2 billions every day through corruption. Today, Kenya court has yet again delivered landmark ruling after slapping businessman Mukuria Ngamau a fine of Ksh 720.8 million or face 27 years in jail for for defrauding Youth Funds of sh 180 millions.
Anti-corruption court has sentenced former youth fund director and businessman Mukuria Ngamau be jailed for a period of twenty eight years or pay seven hundred and twenty million shillings fine after the court found him guilty of defrauding youth development fund one hundred and eighty million shillings. The court found out that Quorandum limited which Ngamau is the managing director had conspired with officials from the youth fund to embezzle public funds.
The anti corruption court has found the famous business man Mukuria Ngamau guilty of five counts read to him in regard to money stolen from Youth Development Funds.The corruption involved the former chief executive officer of Youth Development fund Catherine Namuye was prosecuted together with Ngamau but passed on before the prosecution was over.
