The Technical University of Mombasa had allowed students to reopen following the directive issued by the ministry of education for tertiary institutions to reopen on 5th October 2020. Already continuing students reopened, some have done their end of semester exams while others are still doing their exams. Third years and second years of the academic year 2019/20 today started their end of semester exams. The University had asked the newly admitted students to report at the institution in 30th November 2020.
Technical University of Mombasa fraternity is in mourning following the death of a third-year student who was on industrial attachment. Amos Osiago was reported missing after he disappeared on Thursday. A missing person alert was issued but it has now been confirmed that the varsity student has lost his life.
