On Sunday July 24 evening, a deadly accident occurred at Nithi River in Tharaka Nithi county. The accident which involved a Modern Coast bus lost control at the river bridge and plunged in river Nithi leaving about 20 people dead according to the report given by the rescuers after the attempt to rescue that evening.
