Police officers in Uganda unexpectedly raided Aox bar located in Malukhu ward, an Industrial city division in Mbale city on Saturday night and dispersed over 200 ladies and men who were practicing immorality. Luckily the people were left to walk away scot-free but 2 managers in charge of the bar were arrested for dodging the Ugandan government orders and defying the rules made by the government to curb COVID-19 regulations by opening the bar against the regulations.
A bizarre incident has been reported in Mbale town after police officers arrested over two hundred men and women who were practicing 'prostitution' in a closed bar. As reported by 'Daily Monitor' concerned villagers had informed police officers that this bar often operates at night and so many young teenagers were spending their time there.
According to the report from Kalenjin radio station, he claimed that the police officers managed to control the traffic situation in Mbale road after a fatal accident but the driver managed to escape with minor injuries. They have called upon all the drivers to be careful and also those who are driving without a driving license will face the consequences of the law if they are arrest.
Rosette Kyarikunda a final year medical student at Busitema University has passed on after reportedly taking a COVID-19 vaccine which triggered serious effects on her body. The deceased received her first COVID-19 jab (Astra-zeneca type) on August 17, thereafter developing severe headache and general body illness according to a statement released on August 28 from the Federation of Uganda Medical Students’ Associations (FUMSA).

This evening, a vehicle veered off the road landing in a ditch and killed 5 people including an 18-year-old boy who had recently finished secondary school. Happened right before my eyes, the driver who was headed to Mbale town from a burial ceremony in Manyatta, Vihiga county lost control of the vehicle which was at a very high speed, went through the road barrier flying into the ditch.

Early this evening, there was a fatal accident along the kisumu-Kakamega highway in Manyatta, Mbale near Total Petrol station where a man crossing the road during curfew rush hours was knocked down by a fast-moving vehicle.
A Bodaboda operator in Mbale town Vihiga county has found himself on the receiving end after a section of his colleagues starting beating him up for carelessly causing an accident. The Bodaboda operator entered the main Kisumu-Kakamega highway near the equity bank road junction and was almost hit by an oncoming car which forced him to head straight into a ditch on the side of the road.

The former Mbale District LC5 Chairman and now Presidential advisor is said to have been in an accident on the Mbale-Tororo Highway.

Yesterday night had a sad event in Uganda as oxygen failure led to the death of about 29 COVID 19 patients at Mulago referral hospital. Officials were reluctant to discuss the matter, which if true presents the largest single-day covid 19 deaths at the hospital. The facility is the largest treatment centre i the country since the outbreak of the pandemic in March 2020.
