The Central Bank of Kenya has granted authorization to Pesapal Limited as a Payment Service Provider (PSP) to carry our Payment Gateway Services in compliance with the National Payment System (NPS) Act, 2011, NPS Regulations 2014. Founded in 2009, Pesapal provides a simple, safe and secure way for individuals and businesses to make and accept payments in Kenya.

This is a boost to E-commerce businesses as they shall grow and expand further in East Africa. The authorization enables Pesapal to carry out Payment Gateway Services in compliance with the National Payment System (NPS) Act, 2011, NPS Regulations 2014.
Pesapal has today launched a smart POS machine that is set improve the in-store experience for customers and help merchants efficiently accept payments and manage their inventory. Pesapal Sabi Smart POS will enable merchants to improve their business workflow by integrating everyday tools with payment processing. Functionalities such as accounting, reporting and analytics, inventory management, and generating email receipts will be done on the POS terminal.
Electronic payments firm Pesapal has been accredited by the Central Bank of Kenya (CBK) as a payments solutions provider, while in Tanzania, it has received a service licence. The fintech corporation asserts the regulatory approvals will enable it to offer e-commerce services seamlessly as it accelerates innovation in digital payments.
