When they met on Sunday, both Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and his counterpart in parliament Honourable Kanini Kega seemed in good spirits. This has left Kenyans noting that indeed as the saying goes, there are no permanent enemies when it comes to the Kenyan politics. Just less than two weeks ago the two leaders had a social media clash after Kanini Kega hosted Raila Odinga at his home and awarded him with a Marafiki FC jersey which seemed not to go well with Kipchumba Murkomen.

Naromoru all stars against Marafiki Fc was a football match that took place yesterday at the Naromoru stadium Kieni east Nyeri county. The football match was to bring together the youths, inspire and promote unity amongst themselves. The event was attended by the area Mp Hon Kanini Kega who supported the Naromoru all stars. Nyeri county's home football club Marafiki Fc has been of late displaying poor results. Today Marafiki FC lost to Nyahururu All Stars. The scores were Marafiki FC 1: Nyahururu All Stars 2. Last weekend marafiki had lost to Nairobi based Posta Rangers Fc. Marafiki fc despite it's performance in the earlier years has lost to small teams also.

Raila Odinga has disclosed that he met a group of players from the Marafiki FC who normally play division two football. The former Prime Minister has also disclosed that the team awarded him with a special gift of jerseys that they normally use as a team that is normally supported by the Kieni constituency member of Parliament.
