Days after Agriculture CS Peter Munya announced that the government had secured subsidized fertilizers to be sold to the farmers through National Cereals and Produce Board at the cost of Sh2,800 per 50kg bag, farmers in Kitale Trans Nzoia county have rubbished his remarks. Speaking on Friday outside Kitale NCPB stores, the agitated farmers blamed the CS saying he had duped them that each farmer will now be receiving a maximum of 20 bags of subsidized fertilizers per farmer.
