Nandi County senator Samson Cherargei, has weighed in on the recent attacks on deputy president Rigathi Gachagua by a section of leaders drwan from the Western Kenya region. The United Democratic Alliance party noted that it was sad that these individuals are disrespecting the deputy president adding that they should stop this immediately.

While speaking through his social media account, Honourable Cherargei Arap Kiprotich has called upon the Western leaders criticizing the deputy president Rigathi Gachagua and asked them to stop. Senator Kiprotich Cherargei holds that they should focus on castigating their runningmate Karua. Through his official twitter account, Senator Kiprotich Cherargei noted that it is sad to note that some Luhya Azimio-OKA MPs have started attacking attacking or reprimanding DP H.E Rigathi Gachagua.
