Family Worried After Being Unable to Reach Their Kin Working in Iraq For The Whole of This Year
The family of Leah Wangari Maina, a Kenyan working in Iraq as a househelp is worried about her whereabouts after being unable to reach her on phone the whole of this year. Leah went to the country in search of greener pastures October 2021. She last talked to her family on 31st December 2021 and complained that she was being mistreated and forced to work in 4 houses.

The family of Leah Wangari Maina is worried.Their daughter went to Iraq in October 2021 to seek greener pastures, but they have been unable to reach her on the phone for the whole of this year.Leah's eldest sister, Miriam Muthoni, says their sibling had shared concerns over working conditions before her phone went off.
