The raid conducted by the multi agency forces from Lamu also resulted to bombing and destruction of two Al Shabaab bases believed to be used in planning and executing attacks attacks in Lamu, so far leaving at least 15 Lamu locals dead.
It's barely a week since spate of attacks began in Lamu where suspected terrorists have wreaked havoc on the residents and even killed security officers. It's Monday and another attack has been reported in the area of Majembeni, Lamu County where two people have died after attack by unknown assailants.

It's only been a week since a series of incidents in Lamu, where suspected terrorists have terrorized civilians and killed security agents. On Monday, another attack was reported in the Majembeni district of Lamu County, where two individuals were killed by unknown gunmen. The severe shooting that afflicted the residents also resulted in the incineration of several dwellings.
Six people have been confirmed dead after a terrorist attack at Withu village in Majembeni,Lamu county at around 10 pm on Sunday. Lamu county commissioner Irungu Macharia has confirmed that six people lost their lives during the attack while unconfirmed number are nursing serious injuries. Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang'i has today ordered dusk till dawn curfew in Lamu county after a two day attacks by unknown assailants that has left several people dead,in a statement given today by Cs Matiang'i he claimed that the attacks which have rocked Lamu county need to stop and culprits should be apprehended,this comes after police officers arrested nine individuals who are believed to be part of the attacks that has left hundreds of family without homes.
The CS Fred Matiang'i has today announced the dawn to dusk curfew that will affect the people who live in Lamu County. The residents will be forced to stay in their homes at night as only the security forces will be allowed to carry on their operations during this time.
