Mike Sonko, a candidate for governor of Mombasa, has been sued for Sh450,000 in child support by a woman who claims he neglected his teenage daughter. According to TV 47, the anonymous woman is requesting Sh448,450 from the governor in order to provide for her 15-year-old daughter's food, shopping, rent, security, clothing, house assistance, medical coverage, schooling, and numerous other necessities.

The government has announced new fuel prices amidst the biting fuel shortage in the country. According to the Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority (EPRA), the prices increase will take effect from midnight Friday April 15, 2022. This prices will run from April 15 to may 14 according to EPRA.
Energy and Petroleum Regulatory Authority EPRA has once again hiked the prices of fuel causing more pain to Kenyans. In the new prices announced by the body, petrol and diesel prices have risen up by Kshs. 9.90 per litre. Kerosene will now retail at Kshs 113.44 up from Kshs.

Residents of Kagio, Kirinyaga County, were left perplexed after a man stabbed his one-and-a-half-year-old daughter to death and tried to take his life after what us believed to be a family dispute between him and his wife. Her daughter, Abigail Murugi, who was only on the road to celebrating her second birthday died on the spot after her angry father stabbed her multiple times with a kitchen knife on Monday night.
